Latest Update
12/14/2025- The steel structure contractor came on December 1st to start erecting the building but found the steel was heavier than specified so had to wait for a large enough crane to be available. The crane is here Monday, December 15th to raise half of the steel trusses and plans to raise the remaining trusses later in the week. Completion of the structure is estimated to be about 7-8 weeks (toward the end of January). But we need to pay the contractor putting it up so if we don’t get to our target of $63,700 by the time they need to start putting walls up (about the end of 2025), we’ll have to ask them to stop at roof only.
12/14/2025- Fundraising Update: We have raised $41,419 (65%) of our $63,700 target to complete our current phase.
Next Milestone
Our next milestone will be when we complete erecting the building structure.
Current Phase of Construction
We are about to begin “Phase 3” of construction.
Phase 1 – Planning, engineering & steel building structure [completed & paid for]
Phase 2 – Underground utilities, footings, and floor slab [completed & paid for with part of a loan]
Phase 3 – Building erection including insulation, doors & windows [next]
Phase 4 – Vestibule (front entry doors), 2nd level & interior framing, and rough-in plumbing and electric
Phase 5 – Interior finishes, elevator and kitchen
Phase 6 – Parking, water, and septic system
Phase 7 – Media and finishes
Next Funding Goal
To complete phase 3 we need to raise roughly $63,700 on top of the $400,000 construction loan we took out. We have raised $41,419 (about 65%) of that amount to date. We will then need to raise more money to buy materials to frame the inside walls and keep moving forward.
