OUR FOUNDATION – STATEMENT OF FAITH

bible-smGOD

There is but one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness, maker and preserver of all things. He has eternally existed in three persons of one substance: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.(Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

JESUS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He took upon man’s nature and lived a sinless human life. He offered Himself as the only perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death and to reconcile man to God. He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God and will return to judge all men at the last day.
(Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Acts 1:8-11; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 9:14-15)

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s word to man.
(Psalm 12:6, 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

ETERNITY

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life. To be forever separated from God is Hell. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
(John 3:16; Romans 6:23; 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13; Revelation 20:15)

SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make things right for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. This is justification by faith.
(Romans 3:25, 5:1; Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:5; 1 John 3:5-10)

SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification frees us from the power and dominion of sin. This is followed by lifelong growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It begins at salvation and ends at mans glorification. Sanctification can include a definite, instantaneous work of grace achieved by faith.
(Acts 26:18; 2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18; 1 John 1:9)

FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is obtained by an act of faith on the part of a cleansed believer, and its evidence is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

HEALING

Divine healing is a privilege and right given to every believer and is appropriated by faith. It was purchased for all believers through Christ’s sacrifice.
(Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 24:29-44; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16)

SECOND COMING

Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised, and the Church is waiting for His appearing.
(Matthew 24?; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)

THE CHURCH

God has individually equipped and empowered every believer so they can achieve His purpose in all areas of life, i.e. in worship of God, in fulfilling our role to the church, and in service to our community.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8)
